Independence Institute’s Education Policy Center
The Education Policy Center promotes school choice and school accountability in Colorado. The Education Center staff researches, writes, and speaks about educational topics. Publications are available on the Independence Institute’s web site.
Colorado School Data Center
The Colorado School Data Center allows parents to search for public schools by school name, address, zip code, grade, school performance, and academic growth.
Piton Foundation
The Piton Foundation “School Facts” section provides detailed data at the student level, school level, and teacher level for each school in the Denver Public School District. Maps of CSAP results for public schools statewide are also available on the site.
A Parent’s Voice
The Mission of A Parent’s Voice is to assist the growth of choice in education, improving the quality of education for all, by providing parents and community members with information, resources, and networking, and encouraging grassroots advocacy on behalf of choice in education.
Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition
The CSPC provides training and technical assistance to parents and educators and enhances their abilities to establish effective home/school partnerships in order to increase student achievement. The primary goal of the CSPC is to close the achievement gap and increase graduation rates for students who come from historically under-represented families.
Colorado Charter School Institute
The Institute’s mission is to foster high-quality public school choices offered through Institute charter schools, including particularly, schools for at-risk students.
Colorado Coalition of Cyberschool Families
The Colorado Coalition of Cyberschool Families works together to educate policy makers on the value and importance of online education in order to keep public online education available to families who are currently enrolled in a public online program and families who are looking for new options in public education.
Colorado Cyberschools Association
The Colorado Cyberschools Association assists cyberschools in providing a high quality education to online students by sharing information about effective online education and program management, promoting studies, and improving access to online programs.
Colorado Core Knowledge
This is the Core Knowledge of Colorado Coordinator’s site, offering information about technical support, Core Knowledge-related events, and many other services to promote and support the implementation of the Core Knowledge Sequence.
Colorado Department of Education
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) is the administrative arm of the Colorado State Board of Education. With an organizational commitment to high standards, challenging assessments, and rigorous accountability measures, CDE serves the preK-12 public education, adult education and family literacy, and library communities of Colorado.
Colorado League of Charter Schools
The League serves and supports existing Colorado charter schools and groups or individuals wishing to start a charter school in Colorado. The League has a commitment to both individual charter schools, as well as the movement as a whole.
National Coalition for Public School Options
The National Coalition for Public School Options is an alliance of parents that supports and defends parents’ rights to access the best public school options for their children. The Coalition supports the creation of public school options, including charter schools, online schools, magnet schools, open enrollment policies and other innovative education programs. Additionally, the Coalition advocates for free and equal access without restrictions to these public schools for all children.
Jefferson County Students First
JCSF’s mission is to raise awareness of Jefferson County students, parents, and taxpayers about Jefferson County Public Schools by providing facts related to student performance and budget issues, and by providing examples of solutions other school systems have employed to improve student performance and maximize cost efficiencies.
